WordPress and Drupal care and rescue
I fix slow and fragile WordPress and Drupal sites by measuring what's actually wrong, then keep them healthy for a flat monthly fee. Twenty years of Drupal and a lot of nonprofit fundraising work behind that.

Case study
A membership and online-course business
Logged-in pages took 6 to 7 seconds and three people had offered three different reasons. The real cause was measured, fixed, and the site moved to hosting the owner controls in a five-minute window.

The University of Chicago
Moved the university from Blackbaud Luminate to GiveCampus without breaking a single existing giving link.
Slow, fragile, or inherited from someone who left. I find out why by measuring, fix what matters first, and then keep it healthy.
Twenty years of Drupal, from version 6 through 11. Upgrades, migrations, custom themes, and the long care that comes after.
The whole path a gift takes: tracked link, email, landing page, giving page, report. Luminate, GiveCampus, and the glue between them.
GA4 and Tag Manager with consent done properly, hand-coded email that survives Outlook, and three Salesforce certifications.
I find out why the site is slow or breaking before I suggest a fix. Most sites have one main cause and a lot of noise around it.
The fixes that don't need a big decision go in first, so you get something back while we talk about the rest.
Bigger work is split into phases with a fixed ceiling on each. You approve one at a time and can stop after any of them.
Once it's healthy, a monthly plan keeps it that way. You own every account, so you can leave whenever you want.

I'm Joe Hahn. I've built and looked after websites for over twenty years, and I've run Drupal since version 6. Most of that time was at the University of Chicago, where I kept the university's magazine, alumni sites and giving pages running through every Drupal upgrade from 6 to 11. I also moved the university from one online giving platform to another without breaking a single existing donation link.
Now I work independently as Tru Design. Mostly that means WordPress and Drupal sites for small businesses and nonprofits. Often the slow ones, or the ones inherited from someone who left.
I'd rather tell you a thing is out of scope than bill you for learning it. I'll also tell you when you don't need me.
Tell me what it runs on and what's bothering you. I'll reply within one business day, and the first conversation is free.
